Recognizing that community members may have valuable ideas for allocating our limited revenue resources, Metro Government is asking citizens to make suggestions by using the Department of Finance’s subscription of A Balancing Act . What does Balancing Act do? The Balancing Act budget simulation tool allows you to adjust budgets for various city departments to align resources with the services that matter the most to you. One must balance the city’s revenues and expenses. Metro Nashville/Davidson County has to balance the budget each year before budget adoption. The Finance Staff looks forward to reviewing your submissions and comments on the Operating Budget. Disclaimer Information submitted in A Balancing Act is recorded. During certain times of the year, citizen information is solicited. Once the information has been received during this time period, all of the responses are compiled and sent to the Mayor’s Office.
